1.) what is a datbase?
a database is a group of related information
2.)what are the types of databases?
Operational Databases:
store information for an organisation to run
Analytical databases:
store information that are taken from other databases
Distributed databases:
are databases that are at local places, such as local work groups at regional offices, branch offices, manufacturing plants, etc.
End-User databases:
are a collection of different files created by users at their workstations
These are some of the types of databases but there are many more

Unicode
Unicode is an extention of ascii. it not only codes for the standard keyborad it also is useful if something needs to be put into a different language and it can use many different symbols

ASCII
ASCII is the "American Standard Code for Information Interchange", it is a coding standard that can be used for interchanging information. It basically code that makes up the letters and numbers on a standard keyboard
